Following our noses, the sunshine and an incredible app called Camperstop we found our way to these stop off’s and many more!
We drove through France, Luxembourg, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium, stopping off wherever we could to explore, busk, cook, swim, cycle… Check out some of the beautiful places below.
BUCKET LIST:
Before we set off I set up a check list of places I wanted to visit in Europe. Most of them we ticked off, and many places we’ve added to revisit because we loved them so much. Here are some I highly recommend:
- Lake Annecy, France.
- Riva del Sole, Italy.
- Saturnia Hot Springs, Tuscany, Italy.
- Rovinj, Croatia.
- Plitvice National Park, Croatia.
- Ljubljana, Slovenia.
We were even lucky enough to find this beauty.
She was left alone in the cold, dark woods in Croatia, where she ran in front of the van, crying. We had the most wonderful night playing with her, but unfortunately had to take her to the vets the next day as Sam and I are both allergic. We named her Delilah and miss her very much; but hold many fond memories of that night.
I am pleased to announce that Betty Blue stayed strong throughout the whole trip! And we had the best time. Thanks to everyone that helped make it possible, and all the lovely people we met along the way, for your hospitality, generosity and love. I am looking forward to the next one!
